Welcome to the Central Susquehanna Oil and Gas Website

The 2011 edition of the Central Susquehanna Business to Business Oil and Gas Expo is intended to continue the growth of local business owners and entrepreneurs interaction with the natural gas industry. The goal is simple - bring together the oil and gas industry and the local businesses to explore the opportunities that abound within the gas play. We want our local businesses to benefit from this opportunity as well - to grow their business and provide more family sustaining careers.

We invite any local business or entrepreneur to attend or exhibit at the upcoming expo which will be held May 7, 2011 at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville, PA. This spacious facility will allow for increased exhibition and attendance. The Mobile Energy Education Trailer Unit will also be on display during the expo. More information can be found here.

The economic benefits are not questionable, the new businesses that have started or expanded dot the landscape across the state. Lycoming County was one of 4 counties that recorded 100 or more wells drilled during 2010. In all, 1,440 Marcellus wells were drilled in Pennsylvania last year. At an average investment of $4 million per well that represents a $5.76 billion investment in Pennsylvania just from drilling operations.

As we are well aware, this is just the start of good things to come. While the Marcellus has grabbed the majority of the headlines, interest in other shale plays are starting to attract interest. We hope you find the expo beneficial to you and your company. Please email us with any questions.
